Research

In palladium-catalyzed transformations, stoichiometric amounts of toxic and expensive organometallic reagent are usually consumed in the transmetalation step, which is not user-friendly. By employing gold-palladium bimetallic catalysis, the transmetalation species are the organogold intermediate generated during the reaction process, making the reaction to be a streamlining process. In my research, 1,4 dienes are constructed via gold-palladium bimetallic catalysis, After reaction, all the atoms in the reactant go into the product and no waste generated, which shows the high atom economy of this reaction.
